Rebecca Vaughan
Rebecca Vaughan
Rebecca is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and IAPT Supervisor. She uses evidence-based psychological approaches to support individuals following the CBT model. Based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, what we do, and how our bodies feel, are all connected. If we change one of these we can alter all the others.
Rebecca acknowledges when we are feeling anxious or low in mood, we can fall into traps of thinking and reacting in ways which can unintendedly result in us feeling worse. With the support of Rebecca, she can help you to understand and update problematic ways of thinking and behaving to help improve overall well-being.
Building a safe environment for clients to truly feel validated, genuinely understood and supported is always Rebecca’s priority. She is a competent CBT therapist, but first and foremost, a human. As a relatable, real person; developing a strong therapeutic alliance is her core strength.
Avoidance sometimes feels the only way, but with Rebecca’s support she can help unlock the barriers getting in the way to unleash the potential every single one of us has, to live the life truly desired and deserved.
Rebecca has experience of working with a wide range of presentations including; General Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Panic, OCD, Specific Phobia, Perfectionism, ADHD, Long Term Health Conditions and Health Anxiety.
As a Qualified Social Worker, Rebecca has over a decade of experience working within Children Services in various roles as a Practice Educator, Team Manager and Family Court Adviser. She won Team Leader of the Year in 2018 due to her strong relationship skills. Rebecca has a wealth of knowledge and experience in child development and parental issues which combined with her CBT skills, gives her a unique skill set hard to find.

Crystal Morrison
Crystal is the founder and Director of Shiloh Clinics. Crystal is a dual qualified BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and registered Social Worker with Social Work England. She has been practicing CBT for over three years within the NHS, through charities and privately working with children, young people and adults. Crystal uses evidence-based psychological approaches to support clients to learn simple, practical and effective techniques to help them cope better and keep moving forwards. Her methods are based on deep pool of scientific research into behavioural, cognitive, emotional, neurobiological and evolutionary principles.
Crystal is also qualified as an EMDR Therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that was originally designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. After successful treating clients with EMDR therapy their distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced.
Crystal is a qualified social worker of 14 years’ experience, primarily working with children and families and family courts. She has worked in wide range of social work roles and settings as an independent social worker, including working in the following teams: Duty and Assessment, Care Management, Child in Care, Court and CSE Team as a consultant. What to expect
All sessions last approximately 50 minutes, with 10 minutes for welcome and additional administration such as completing any forms and setting the next appointment.
As a talking therapy, you will be encouraged to describe how you are feeling physically and emotionally, and to identify thoughts that contribute to your current or ongoing problems. CBT will help you find the language to express how you are feeling and become skilled at recognising the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Each session will begin by setting an agenda between you and the therapist. This is to keep each session focused on your goals, in order to maximise the potential of the time available.
Written notes may be taken by the therapist, and you will be encouraged to write things down too. This helps to process and remember information from the session.
Homework tasks are an essential part of CBT, as this is the practical implementation of skills learned in therapy. Recovery is much more rapid and maintained longer when CBT is applied proactively between sessions.
